About

There are now 20+ AI code review tools. They all claim to be the best. Some are genuinely great. Others are wrappers around ChatGPT with a GitHub integration bolted on. We built this site because figuring out which is which shouldn't take a week of free trials.

What we do

We test every tool on real codebases - not toy repos with five files. We set them up on production-grade projects, open real pull requests, and evaluate how they handle actual code. We check if the pricing page matches reality. We verify language support claims. We document what's good and what's not.

Every review follows the same methodology so you can compare tools fairly. We rate on accuracy, platform support, ease of setup, pricing value, and unique capabilities.

Who this is for

If you're a developer evaluating tools for your team, an engineering lead choosing a code quality platform, or a solo developer wondering if any of these tools are worth paying for - this site is for you. We write for people who ship code and want to make their review process faster without sacrificing quality.

Independence

We keep the money and the ratings in separate rooms, and we tell you where the money is. The site is funded by a small number of paid category partnerships and by affiliate links. Every paid placement is labelled "Sponsored" or "Partner" on the page it appears on. If it isn't labelled, nobody paid for it.

No partner can buy a rating, a rank, or the removal of a criticism. Scores come from the same weighted criteria for every tool, lists sort on merit, and the cons stay in the review. We keep recommending a partner's competitors above them wherever that's the honest answer, and partners don't get to approve our copy. If a tool is bad, we say so - including one that pays us. Our reputation depends on being honest, not on making every vendor happy.

How we stay current

The AI code review space moves fast. Tools ship major features monthly. Pricing changes. New competitors launch. We re-verify every review at least quarterly, and we update within 30 days when a tool ships a significant change. Every review shows a "Last Verified" date.
